To: Troy Alvarado From: Wayne Burdette Date: August 8 Subject: For your immediate attention
Dear Mr. Alvarado,
It is with great concern that I write this e-mail. In the three weeks since I sent the initial written warning regarding your work performance, I have seen no improvement. If this problem is not remedied immediately, you will face possible termination. You have failed to meet deadlines for work assignments on multiple occasions, and this is putting unnecessary pressure on your coworkers. I would like to bring to your attention the following incidents:
1. A transcription assignment pertaining to a client meeting, identified as “urgent,” took three days to complete, despite its short length.
2. The presentation materials for the August 1 monthly meeting were not ready, forcing several key topics to be postponed until next month.
3. The meeting schedule of the upcoming week, which is supposed to be turned in on Fridays, has been submitted on Monday morning the past few weeks. In the upcoming month, a majority of the company resources will be focused on the Dawson account. As you know, this single client makes up over sixty percent of our business, so it is essential that the contract is renewed. Everyone in the office must be working at full capacity. In light of the problems mentioned above, I would like you to demonstrate your commitment to the company by making a plan to manage your time more efficiently. Please e-mail me a copy of this by the end of today. That way, I can examine the measures you plan to take and hold you accountable for them.
Sincerely,
Wayne Burdette Director, Yasmin Creations |
