From: Sandra Edrich, Personnel Director To: Gavin Hurst, IT Director Subject: Computers for New Recruits Sent: Monday, 9:30 a.m. Hi, Gavin, I'm writing to inform you of a problem that our new recruits 1. ------- with their computers. As I told you last week, we have employed 3 new employees here on the 4th floor. I specifically asked you to arrange their work stations so they would be ready to start work this morning. However, none of the new recruits are currently able to log on to their computers. This is very frustrating, because I had prepared a computer-based orientation program which they are not able to participate in. I have had to make last-minute changes to today's schedule, resulting in considerable upheaval not only for me 2. ------- for other employees in the personnel department. Please arrange to send a technician to the 4th floor to deal with this problem right away. I do not understand why this issue was not taken care of properly in the first place, especially considering the fact that the IT department normally provides 3. ------- service. I'm confident this is a one-off mistake, and I certainly hope we don't encounter any similar problems in the future. Regards, Sandra |
