I would like to inform you about a company-wide regulation that will go into effect next week. Beginning Monday, May 28, employees will no longer be allowed to check their personal e-mail accounts or visit social networking sites during work hours. Although this practice was permitted in moderation for quite some time, it has now become a serious issue because it’s affecting everyone’s ability to meet deadlines. With the help of this new rule, we believe that staff members will be able to cut down on activities that waste working hours. Your departments should be more productive as a result.
Also, please note that the agenda for this week’s staff meeting has been changed. Due to a scheduling conflict, the sales representative from Bassel Co. will not be giving a product demonstration. Instead, we will hear a presentation from Brittany Cowen. She will discuss important material that relates to retirement planning. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please stop by her desk in the HR department to pick up a handout.
