TO: All Employees
Thank you to everyone who attended the feedback session regarding the proposed schedule change. After much deliberation and consideration of your comments, the management team has decided to use the new system for the month of July and have another feedback session at the end of that month. If the change is favorable and shows an increase in productivity and overall employee morale, as expected, we’ll consider putting the plan into place permanently. For those of you who are unaware of the change, we will be implementing a four-day work week beginning on July 1. Employees will be scheduled for four ten-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday. Everyone will still be working the same number of hours weekly, but the office will be completely closed on Fridays.
We believe there are several advantages to this system. The company can reduce its energy costs because it will be able to turn off the heating system and electricity one extra day per week. Individuals will also save a significant amount of time and money on commuting. We hope that this will be a positive move for our company, and we look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts on the change.
