TO: Irvin Randall FROM: Pat Ramos SUBJECT: RE: Staff recommendations Dear Mr. Randall, I'm pleased that you asked for my opinion regarding the senior sales associate position in your department. Since you are considering two people from my team, I think I can offer a unique perspective on their performance at the company thus far. Ms. Berkeley was hired about two months ago despite being 1.------- . Although at least one year of prior sales experience is usually required, I hired Ms. Berkeley anyway because of her energy, people skills, and willingness to learn. This turned out to be an excellent decision. Ms. Berkeley has caught on quickly. Ms. Berkeley's greatest 2.------- is in meeting monthly sales goals, but I believe this is largely due to her small customer base, which she is slowly building. As for Mr. Walters, he has been with the company for about three years. In the past, he had a tendency 3.------- his duties when the managers weren't overseeing his work closely. However, after many warnings, he is finally starting to become more self-sufficient. If you would like to discuss the candidates in person, I am free for a lunch meeting any time this week. Sincerely, Pat Ramos |
